Brexit: On 5 February our managing partner Neil McGregor co-hosted a joint meeting of the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce and the German Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AHK) on the likely outcome and business opportunities and obstacles presented by Brexit, taking part in a panel discussion with representatives of the Romanian Government, the country manager of DHL Express and the general manager of the AHK. The message was that whilst business dislikes uncertainty, solutions are already being found to tackle the challenges of Brexit – including regarding the personal status of expatriates in each country – and that there are likely to be good opportunities for business and investment once the political uncertainty is settled.
