Our clients are drawn from many countries and sectors, but are principally involved in business or investment.

We are particularly known for our work for clients in the energy, shipping, trade and transport sectors. Our client base has however expanded to cover many other sectors, particularly private equity and commercial property development.

In general we do not identify our clients by name, although we will publicise particular transactions or pieces of litigation where our relevant client has given consent for us to do so. Details of such transactions or pieces of litigation may be found in the section of this website dealing with news about our practice.

Many of our overseas clients are other law firms, for whom we act as local agents. These include various City of London and other international law firms, in addition to firms based in Scandinavia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy and elsewhere in the EU.

Multinational companies, whether or not having local offices, are an important part of our client base.

Clients include companies active in areas such as brewing and beverages, FMCG, foodstuffs, information technology, pharmaceuticals, transport and commodities.
Our commercial banking clients include banks in the UK, Germany, Scandinavia, Luxembourg and France. We also act for investment banks.
